Abstract
Choosing powerful and unbiased photographsPhotographs are one of the most powerful storytelling tools. They capture a moment, convey a message, tell a story and draw an audience in. Photos can accompany web articles (refer to Tool 4: Writing engaging web articles on gender equality and education), showcase content via social media platforms or exhibitions, and be highlighted in a printed material. Photographs are also an important tool both for conveying and challenging gender stereotypes. As we work on promoting gender equality in and through education, we must consider the photos that we use and the message they convey (refer to Tool 2: Communicating on gender equality and education).
