Abstract
From COVID-19 to climate change, we need all of ourbrightest scientific minds to solve today’s existentialchallenges. Yet, only one in three scientists is a woman,according to the UNESCO Science Report (2021). Womenremain underrepresented in the fields of informationtechnology, physics, mathematics and engineering. The lack of equal opportunities in the workplace is drivingwomen out of research and tech. In academia, women areawarded less research funding than men and are less likely to be promoted and, in the tech industry, they are less presentin company leadership and in technical roles.
