PublicationAGEO de la dualidad del crecimiento urbano de las ciudades y el asentamiento en zonas de riesgo no mitigable(CEPLAN, 2023)CEPLANEn el mundo, actualmente, más del 55 % de la población vive en ciudades y la tendencia de la urbanización o desarrollo urbano continuará en los próximos años. El crecimiento de las ciudades responde a distintos factores como el área geográfica disponible, la dinámica económica, las economías de aglomeración, la infraestructura de transporte, accesibilidad a servicios, inversiones en infraestructuras, entre otras variables. El ritmo, dinamismo y magnitud del desarrollo urbano genera desafíos en los distintos países vinculados a la demanda de viviendas, suelo urbano disponible, de accesibilidad a servicios básicos, de espacios públicos, de infraestructura y también en temas de vulnerabilidad ante riesgos. La conformación o expansión de ciudades está condicionada a su ubicación en el territorio y a las características del espacio geográfico en el que se asienta, así, por ejemplo, en el Perú, se registran situaciones alarmantes relacionadas a zonas urbanas con poblaciones vulnerables o en riesgo por la una planificación inadecuada, no efectiva y en muchos casos inexistente, para el desarrollo urbano.

PublicationAGEO del impacto de las actividades económicas en las áreas naturales protegidas en el país(CEPLAN, 2023)CEPLANLa Visión del Perú al 2050 tiene dentro de sus cinco postulados a dos vinculados a la conservación, desarrollo sostenible y respeto por la biodiversidad y, en general, por los recursos que posee el país. La “Gestión sostenible de la naturaleza y medidas frente al cambio climático” y el “Desarrollo sostenible con empleo digno y en armonía con la naturaleza” son dos postulados de la visión que evidencian la importancia del desarrollo del país en la actualidad y a futuro, en sintonía con la conservación de la naturaleza y el aprovechamiento sostenible de los recursos naturales para el consumo humano y las actividades económico productivas. Para el desarrollo y planeamiento estratégico del país es importante considerar el enfoque territorial pero también ecosistémico, que permite contar con una visión integral de aspectos sociales y ecológico, como también de las dinámicas, relaciones y procesos que los sistemas productivos involucran. La biodiversidad y variabilidad ecosistémica en el Perú es notable, ya que el país se destaca dentro de los principales países en relación a concentración de zonas de vida, cantidad de hectáreas de bosques y de número de especies de flora y fauna. Contar con una geografía y biodiversidad variada e importante, supone una gran responsabilidad en cuanto a la gestión sostenible de los recursos y áreas naturales, puesto la influencia antrópica, a través de intervenciones en estas zonas, para el desarrollo de actividades económico – productivas, ocupación y cambio de suelo y para el aprovechamiento de recursos naturales para distintos fines, muchas veces genera impactos negativos al medio ambiente, que incluso pueden ser irreversibles.

PublicationCaracterización geoespacial de las ciudades y el análisis de la relación productiva-económica con sus ámbitos territoriales(CEPLAN, 2023)CEPLANActualmente, a nivel mundial, alrededor del 56% de la población mundial vive en ciudades, y esta tendencia va en aumento, lo que evidencia que los centros urbanos son claves para el desarrollo de los países. A pesar de la gran cantidad de población que albergan y de dinamizar los países a nivel socioeconómico, cultural y ambiental, las ciudades no deben ser vistas como una entidad desconectada de su entorno, por el contrario, deben ser entendidas como unidades en constante relación e intercambio con sus zonas de influencia y con los territorios que comprenden.
